OLLI Presents: The Civil War

As the 150th commemoration of The American Civil War approaches, Robert Brookover, author of the Wish Is My Master series, deciphers a few facts and a few fictitious stories for our enjoyment and education. He introduces his subject through a time-period quilt, a silver salt and pepper shaker, and a hundred year old history book. From Civil War letters, Journals and family lore, he delivers a unique perspective to this great tragedy. A graduate of Randolph-Macon College and Boston University, he lived in Manassas and the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia for twenty-seven years where he came face to face with the heritage of the war.

On Friday, September 24, 2010 at 10:30am to 11:30am in the Strom Thurmond Auditorium on Clemson University's campus OLLI will host Mr. Robert Brookover. The reservation fee for this event is $15 for all non-OLLI members. Current OLLI members may contact the OLLI office for a free reservation.
