Play or Volunteer for BINGO!
Release Date
Every Tuesday beginning on November 13th, Senior Action will host BINGO for CASH prizes! Doors will open at 5:30 pm and play will be from 6:30-8:30 pm in a fun, non-smoking environment. As a charitable organization, the proceeds from BINGO will help provide funding for programs and services offered through Senior Action. Sanctioned by the State of South Carolina, BINGO will be open to the community for anyone over the age of 14 (accompanied by an adult).
Our goal is to have a dedicated group of volunteers run the program each week. So if you're able to stand for extended periods of time, can move freely, handle money and simple math, pass a SC State Background check and have a contagious smile and love to work with people, then you're who we want!
Volunteer Opportunities Include:
FACILITATOR: This person will manage the overall operations of BINGO each week including all volunteers on duty the night of the game, equipment set up, organization of supplies and oversight of cash payouts.
Game Volunteers will be trained as a Caller, Cashier and Floor Runner so that volunteers can rotate positions throughout the session.
THE CALLER: Calls the game to be played, selects the balls at random and calls them out to the crowd, makes special announcements and verifies winning cards.
THE CASHIERS: Several cashiers are needed each night. One cashier will collect entry fees, one will sell the standard game package for the evening and one or more will sell extra cards to supplement the packages.
THE FLOOR RUNNERS: Continuously moves up and down the isles to provide guests an entertaining gaming experience, answer questions, sells special cards to guests and confirms the win when someone claims BINGO.
CONCESSION STAND: Several volunteers are needed to assist in the concession stand to serve light meals, snacks and drinks
