Pneumonia Vaccine for Seniors 65+

I hope this email finds you well! We wanted to let you know about a new study on an investigational Pneumonia Vaccine for volunteers aged 65 to 85 years of age who have already received their Prevnar 13 vaccine. You will receive a new pneumonia vaccine that is being tested or a licensed pneumonia vaccine, Pneumovax. The study is approximately 12 months long consisting of 3 office visits and 1 phone call. Compensation will be $75 per office visit ($225 total).

To qualify you must meet ALL the following criteria:
• Aged 65 to 85 years of age
• Received Prevnar 13 at least 2 months prior to study start
• Generally healthy
• Cannot have severe COPD, end stage renal disease, unstable cardiac disease or be on oxygen therapy
• Cannot have been previously vaccinated with any other Pneumonia vaccine, other than a single dose of Prevnar 13
• Cannot be on any steroid medications/ medications that suppress the immune system
• Cannot have condition/disease that suppresses immune system (this includes Psoriasis)
