Respite Care Charleston – COVID-19 Response
Release Date
Out of an abundance of caution for those we serve who are highly vulnerable to COVID-19, Respite Care Charleston has suspended all in-person programs and activities. We will remain closed until healthcare officials indicate it's safe to resume services.
Being an Alzheimer's / dementia caregiver is challenging under the best of circumstances, and we know this time of social isolation will be especially difficult to the families we serve. With this in mind we've moved our caregiver support groups to a conference call format for the foreseeable future. To participate, simply call (605) 313-4100 and enter access code 488933 at the start time for any regularly scheduled meeting. (Our meeting schedule is available at https://respitecarecharleston.org/#supportgrouplocations.) If you run into problems, please email Info@RespiteCareCharleston.org.
Caregivers of those with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia and their loved ones are encouraged to contact our team at 843-647-7405 or Info@RespiteCareCharleston.org for help with food and meals, access to community resources, one-on-one support and other assistance!
