SENIOR SERVICES AND BUSINESSES: Join the Lourie Center’s DRIVE-THRU Fall Festival

September 13, 2021

CALLING SENIOR SERVICES AND BUSINESSES:
Join us for the Lourie Center’s DRIVE-THRU Fall Festival
Friday October 29, 2021, 9 am-12 pm

The Lourie Center will host our annual Fall Festival on Friday, October 29 and we want you to be a part of the fun! For the safety of the community, we will be keeping the socially distant format and the Lourie Center Fall Festival will be an outdoor, DRIVE-THRU experience. Please mark your calendars, share the news, and plan to attend.

This is a contact-free event. The plan is to have festival guests slowly drive their cars through a carefully guided, designated area in our upper parking lot, which will be set with entertaining music, festive decor, costumed individuals, and plenty of business banners and signs. Festival guests will remain in their cars.

The Lourie Center invites all senior services and businesses in the Midlands to register as a vendor or sponsor. The Fall Festival is a great opportunity for your business to show support for the senior community and gain some extra visibility.

We are dressing up! The 2021 theme is "Hooray for Hollywood!" and we invite you to come dressed as your favorite actor, icon, or superhero from any era. The business displays and festival entertainment will be set up in the parking lot along both sides of the Drive-Thru lane. We will all be socially distanced, and will wave, cheer, dance, and show off our Hollywood costumes. Costumes are optional and festival guests can vote for their favorites. Winners will be announced at the end of the festival.

Bring your fun costumes, business signage/floor banners, maybe a camp chair, and help make the 2021 Drive-thru Fall Festival another festival one to remember.

Executive Director Sandra Owensby encourages us all to “Help Support the Lourie Center by participating in the Drive-Thru Fall Festival. It is a fun, safe event for all of us. As always, the Fall Festival will be a spotlight on important resources and services available to seniors.”
