Spartanburg USN Wrap Up 2006

October 5, 2006

Well, if you can believe it we are in the 4th quarter of 2006? where does the time go?! This has been an awesome year with lots of great speakers and delicious food. I wanted to drop a line to all our members with some important information regarding the last few meetings of 2006:

1. Instead of our usual Holiday Drop-In, this year we will be having a party of our own in December. Please mark your calendars now for Wednesday, December 20th at 12 noon. Be sure to block out plenty of time, this ?meeting? will be going a little longer than usual. We will be having lunch and a special entertainer both courtesy of the Carolina Center for Behavioral Health and Spring Arbor. After lunch we will play the Chinese Gift Exchange Game. That means everyone needs to bring a fun gift to put in the pot! (We ask that you spend $10 or less; gag gifts and re-gifts are acceptable).

2. Because of our change, we are now left without a food sponsor for November. If anyone is interested please contact me back as soon as possible. Remember that if you can?t sponsor alone, you may team up with other companies to split the cost.

3. Over the next three meetings we will start planning for the 2007 USN calendar. Be thinking about what months you may like to sponsor, and any special requests for speakers you may have.

We are continuing to grow and I could not be more excited! This past month we busted out of our usual room and moved into the large meeting room at the Senior Center. With the exception of the October meeting this will be a permanent change? until, of course, we bust out of that room too!

Be on the lookout for emails/SPIN mails regarding the October speaker and lunch sponsor.

It has been my great pleasure to serve as your USN Spartanburg Chairperson the last couple of months and I look forward to all that the remainder of this year and 2007 will bring. Let?s keep growing!

Sincerely,
Kelly Ivey
Spartanburg USN Chairperson
